Honda, Acura Adding Tesla Supercharger Access
Honda and its luxury brand, Acura, have announced that starting in June 2025, owners of their electric vehicles (EVs)—specifically the Honda Prologue and Acura ZDX—will gain access to Tesla’s extensive Supercharger network in North America, comprising over 20,000 charging stations.
To facilitate this, both brands will offer proprietary charging adapters for purchase through their dealerships, enabling compatibility between their vehicles’ existing Combined Charging System (CCS1) ports and Tesla’s North American Charging Standard (NACS) connectors.
This initiative aligns with Honda’s earlier commitment to adopt the NACS for its EV models starting from the 2025 model year. The company plans to launch a new EV equipped with a NACS port in North America in 2025 and will continue integrating this standard into subsequent models.
By integrating NACS compatibility, Honda joins other major automakers—such as Ford, General Motors, Rivian, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, and Polestar—in enhancing charging accessibility for their EV customers through Tesla’s Supercharger network.
