The Rapture Index is a tracking system maintained by the website Rapture Ready that attempts to quantify how close the world is to the biblical end times. It is not a prophecy or a prediction tool but is often referred to as a “Dow Jones Industrial Average of end-time activity.”

The Rapture Index is managed by Todd Strandberg, who created it as a way to track various prophetic indicators that some Christians believe signal the approach of the end times. Strandberg runs the website Rapture Ready, which hosts the index and provides commentary on world events from a premillennial, pretribulational perspective.

The Rapture Index itself is often described as a “prophetic speedometer,” tracking different categories such as false prophets, earthquakes, financial unrest, apostasy, and geopolitical tensions. The index is regularly updated based on current events, though its methodology is not scientific—it’s more of a subjective gauge for those who follow end-times prophecy.

How It Works:

The index consists of 45 categories that measure various global and societal trends believed to be related to biblical prophecy. Each category is assigned a score based on the level of activity. The higher the overall score, the closer the world is perceived to be to the rapture, according to the creators.

• Matthew 24 – Jesus speaks about wars, rumors of wars, famines, earthquakes, and false prophets.
• 2 Timothy 3:1-5 – Describes a time when people will be lovers of self, boastful, and unholy.
• Daniel 12:4 – Talks about an increase in knowledge and travel in the last days.
• Revelation 6-18 – Discusses the tribulation period with global upheaval.

Scoring System:

Each category receives a score based on the intensity of related events. The scores are then summed up to generate the Rapture Index total:

• 130-160 – Heavy prophetic activity
• Above 160 – Fasten your seatbelts!

As of 2025, the Rapture Index is at one of its highest levels in history, due to factors such as:

• Natural disasters and extreme weather
• Growing global surveillance and AI technology
• Rising tensions around Israel and potential war scenarios

Interpretation:

Many people who follow biblical prophecy use the Rapture Index as a way to gauge the “signs of the times.” However, critics argue that it is subjective and not an actual predictive tool. Regardless, it remains a popular reference point among those who believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ.

As of March 10, 2025, the Rapture Index stands at 187, indicating a period of “fasten your seat belts” prophetic activity.

Recent Factors Influencing the Index:

• Severe Weather Events: A massive dust storm engulfed western Texas on March 6, 2025, turning skies over El Paso into an eerie orange hue.
• Geopolitical Tensions: Russian President Vladimir Putin issued a stern warning to European nations on March 4, 2025, cautioning against involvement in Ukraine’s conflict, stating it could lead to an “absolute apocalypse.”

These developments have contributed to the elevated Rapture Index, reflecting heightened global instability and natural phenomena.

For those of us who are believers of Jesus Christ, we are able to sense that we are living in the end times. Having an organization that is dedicated to share their perspective of how close we are to the Rapture is intriguing, yet not absolute.

This, as well as other end times events that are happening, are again important reminders that God is asking all of His children to be ready. We are to repent, and accept Jesus Christ as our Savior and believe in His gospel. In doing this, we will be prepared for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

What is comforting to me is that the events of the End Times are foretold in the bible. God has given us this information as a gift… a warning if you will. It also serves to assure us that God and His followers win in the end. Satan and his followers will be defeated in a very brutal fashion.

I invite you all to find out the importance of YOU being ready. You can do this by getting upon your knees and praying to God for guidance, and what specifically you need to do to be ready. Then, listen to the promptings that you will have. God will guide you through the steps necessary for you to be ready.

For those of you who believe that we are NOT in the end times, or that this is really not a big deal, I must let you know that you will experience the wrath of God, for He will not be mocked.

For 6,000 years, God has allowed satan to tempt mankind, resulting in disgusting actions to take place through the evil actions of men and women. Well, that period of time is ending, and God has chosen to destroy Satan and his followers in the end times, climaxing with the Battle of Armageddon. If you are on that evil team, after the battle, your spirit will be cast down to hell to serve as a prisoner under satan’s dictatorship.

For those of you who are prepared, we can look forward to God watching over us through these last days. And when this earth life is over, we will be greatly blessed by living in a glorious new place, “heaven” with Him.

So, you decide where you would like to spend eternity. The choice is up to you.
