Wrong, Wrong, Wrong

I heard something the other day, a week or two ago, on a TV in someone else’s house, where a major TV preacher personality, well known, said that help would not come from either political party.  The implication was that help comes from God directly so don’t worry about politics.

This attitude that Christians have is so wrong.  There are variations of it.

• God alone will help us.  Politics and political parties don’t matter.  It is the LORD that will help us.
• We’re not of this world.  We don’t deal with the world.  We don’t deal with politics.
• The rapture is coming.  Why should I fight if I’m going to take flight?
• These candidates are not Christians and/or don’t have a perfect political platform, so I am not going to vote for or support them.

Satan must love Christians that have these attitudes.  Because these attitudes place the Christians right on satan’s team of not overcoming evil with good (like by voting, donating to the proper candidates,  and speaking out and exposing the truth).

There are literally satan worshippers in politics.  The false prophet, the beast, and the anti-Christ spirit operate very strongly in corrupted politics and media.  For Christians to stand aloof from politics while talking about exposing the anti-Christ is an oxymoron.

Go to any nation of the world where there are dictatorships or Communism.  Ask the Christians, “Do you pray for your political leaders?  Does it matter what government you are under?”  Ask Christians where there is Sharia law and people are beheaded for being Christians.  Ask them, “Do you care what political persuasion runs your country?”  Ask Jews in Nazi Germany.  “Do you care whether Hitler’s political party is in charge or another, does it matter at all?”

Obviously, it does and has mattered whether Atila the Hun or King John of England at Runnymede was in power.

It does matter whether Moses stood against Pharoah or he didn’t.

It does matter whether George Washington went to war or stayed at home.

It does matter whether actual men fought in a D-Day or just let Hitler run over Europe.

God works through men his has called for a particular purpose at certain points in history.

Many more examples could be given.

To be so stupid, and I have no other word for it though in elementary schools today we are told not to use the word “stupid” because it is not nice, but to to be so stupid as to say it does not matter who is in power is the height of stupidity.

A lesser man than President Trump would not be standing in today’s political climate.

A lesser man than Judge Kavanaugh would have withdrawn after the lies and battering to himself, his name, his reputation and his family.

And it does matter whether Republicans, imperfect as they are, remain in power, or Democrats who are becoming the radical Communist part of the nation, get in power.

For a Christian pastor to get on national and world television and say that it doesn’t matter is flat out wrong.  Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s.

We have to vote intelligently.  We have to know the difference between political parties.  Even if we don’t have 100% agreement with a candidate, we have to vote Republican to give President Trump his Republican majority.

In Hitler’s Germany, the church went along to get along until it was too late and they realized their mistake.  So basically, the church helped Hitler rise to power.

In the United States particularly, the complacency of the western church, that supposedly does not have to care too much about politics is responsible for the rise of the leftist Communist movement in this nation.

One day Jesus will ask this generation to give an account of how they stewarded a Christian nation handed down from our founding fathers.

²⁰ Then he began to denounce the cities in which most of his mighty works had been done, because they didn’t repent. ²¹ “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon which were done in you, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. ²² But I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you. ²³ You, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, you will go down to Hades.^[f]For if the mighty works had been done in Sodom which were done in you, it would have remained until today. ²⁴ But I tell you that it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom, on the day of judgment, than for you.”  Matthew 11:20-24

It is imperative, it is imperative, it is imperative that Christians vote Republican to give President Trump the Republican majority he needs to move forward.  It is also imperative that they pray daily for President Trump as well as other political issues as the Lord leads.
