[Tom Donahue Interview:] Trump VP Pick, Kamala, the Assassination Attempt, & Other Sleight of Hand Tricks

I recently interviewed pioneer patriot talk radio show host, Tom Donahue, host of Tom Donahue Reports. Donahue started out in the 1990’s as the original “America First” radio show, America’s Town Forum, as a trailblazer in the alternative media.

Donahue and I spoke about the Trump VP pick, JD Vance, the Trump assassination attempt, his views on Trump and Kamala Harris, and other sleight of hand tricks.

Regarding Trump, Donahue said, “He gave one of the worst speeches at the RNC. The RNC had a brilliant convention, everything was set up for him—even Hulk Hogan and Dana White. They made him into a superhero. He was larger than life, and then he lays a dud at the RNC. There’s no unity message. There’s no learning lessons from an assassination attempt. There’s no positivity. It’s all back to Trump hitting the old notes that are not resonating with the general American population.”

While Donahue opened with Trump and the RNC, I thought that was the perfect segue to his thoughts on who I think is probably the worst pick out of Trump’s VP list, JD Vance. Donahue disagreed with my comparison of Vance and Pence—I think they are both shady characters—snakes.

Donahue said, “Let me just interrupt you here. Pence was never a snake. I know a lot about his background. Pence was a conservative patriot, legitimate, someone that’s a devoted father and husband, and was always voting in a very conservative way. Maybe not always populace, but a good man. He did all the right things, including not violating his constitutional oath and doing something that he was not able to do during the election, certifying the election or not certifying it. But JD Vance is a snake. He calls Harris a chameleon. He’s the personification of a chameleon and changing his ways.”

We spoke a lot about JD Vance and the flip flopping he has done on a variety of subjects; especially how he publicly insulted Trump and how now he is a fan. “He was a commentator on CNN and called Trump, Hitler, and many, many other derogatory terms. I mean, some of the worst terms, and he was a ‘never Trumper.’ And so how does he define Harris as a chameleon when this guy did a complete 360?”

Donahue brought up Vance’s connection to Palantir Technologies founder, Peter Thiel. Donahue said, “He also put $15 million into a campaign so Vance could win a Senate seat.”

I remarked how Vance came out of nowhere and that I researched his career and timeline and there are a lot of strange things and connections there. Including his buddy-buddy relationship with Don Trump Jr—I don’t understand that either.

Donahue pointed out, “Now you’re actually onto something here. And this is how he got into the position he’s in. Don Jr. put a lot of pressure on his dad. They both grew out their little beards, and they had their little play time together, whatever.”

Donahue said it was Tucker Carlson, Don Jr., and Thiel that put the pressure on Trump to select JD Vance.

I made a comment on the similar script that both Vance and Obama seemed to follow on their way up to the presidency. “They both wrote a memoir of their early years. They graduated from prominent law schools, although Obama was Harvard law, and he’s Yale. But they both write books that hit the New York Times Best Seller list, just before they come to prominence in the Senate. It’s almost like they’re following a script of sorts.”

I told Donahue that I wondered what may have been behind the reason behind the Vance, Trump Jr. connection. I found that Vance raised $93 million for his firm with the help of Thiel and former Trump advisor, Darren Blanton. When I saw former Trump advisor, Blanton, I suspected that this is where the Don Jr. connection with Vance came into the picture. I couldn’t understand why Trump Jr. would be so gung ho for Vance as the VP pick after everything derogatory he said about his father.

Donahue made a comment that Trump was self-sabotaging his own campaign.  I agreed, “You know what, Tom, I think you’re right. I think behind the scenes they know that they’re going to either get rid of Trump or let him ride through his four years, and then they know that their guy will be set for President in the next election.” That’s just a theory I have …I believe if you look close enough you will find a Vance, DNC connection, and that this is a set-up.

Donahue continued on his views of a Harris presidency when I asked him about it, “Well, I’m already preparing for it. I just know that it’s going to be an unmitigated disaster. It’s going to be very similar to what we’re experiencing under the Biden regime. In some ways, you just have to look towards 2028 and DeSantis. I think he will become the next President for eight years.”
